Moorditj-abiny Champion
This position is open to applicants who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (in line with Section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984). Join the Moorditj-abiny Program—a First Nations initiative focused on strengthening cultural knowledge, community connection, and student development through workshops, outreach, and events.
About the role:
Support the delivery of programs that promote and celebrate First Nations perspectives across the university community.
Key responsibilities:
- Welcome students, build relationships, and support outreach activities
- Assist with workshops, cultural training, and events (planning, delivery, logistics)
- Represent the University at events and information stalls
- Provide administrative and team support
What’s offered:
- Casual pay: $41.28 – $45.98 per hour (incl. 25% loading)
- 12% superannuation

The Mentor Hub WA is doing another recruitment for mentors as part of organisational expansion and after the successful launch of operations. We operate primarily in the Perth Metro and Peel regions and provide mentors to some of the State’s most vulnerable children and young people (young people in State foster care).
If you have or are willing and able to obtain:
- A WWC
- A National Police Clearance
- A Valid WA drivers license and vehicle
- An ABN
- Comprehensive Car Insurance
- And can commit to at least 12 months of involvement

Further desirable (but not essential experience/qualifications) can include:
Experience working with young people with ASD/ADHD diagnosis and/or disabilities
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants strongly encouraged to apply as there are many young ATSI children in care requiring ATSI mentors.
English as a first language preferable. Strong English skills if not your first language is essential.
Your commitment can be as much as multiple times a week, to a minimum of one session per month.
Mentors are paid hourly rates plus per km travel fees and are provided a small budget per session as spending money on the young person. Income:

Peer Tutors Needed – Murdoch Guild

Student Assist are looking for more peer tutors to join their network! Murdoch Guild created Peer Tutoring so that students can receive tutoring from others who have previously done the same unit or are in the same course of study.
Students who have received a Distinction or High Distinction in units in their study are able to register as peer tutors.
Once you have signed up to be a peer tutor a Student Assist Officer will be in touch. If they have found a tutoring match for you, they will share your contact details with each other to start arranging tutoring time and location. It is the student’s responsibility to arrange payment and record work covered.
In order for us to approve your application can you please provide supporting documentation of your grades that includes your student number or full name. This may be in the form of a screenshot of your grades on MyInfo or as an academic transcript that you can requesthere.
