Laboratory Assistant with Murdoch University

The Microbiology/ Immunology technical group prepares and presents laboratory sessions for both undergraduate and post-graduate students in the ELS’s division of Medicine Molecular Forensic and Science (MMFS) as well as the Veterinary School.

You’ll need:

  • Certificate 3 qualification in laboratory skills (or similar field) or have completed year 12 with relevant work experience in a laboratory environment
  • An understanding of laboratory procedures, including safe handling of biohazards and chemicals
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, follow direction given and good communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload to meet timelines

Peer Tutors Needed

Student Assist are looking for more peer tutors to join their network! Murdoch Guild created Peer Tutoring so that students can receive tutoring from others who have previously done the same unit or are in the same course of study.

Students who have received a Distinction or High Distinction in units in their study are able to register as peer tutors.

Once you have signed up to be a peer tutor a Student Assist Officer will be in touch. If they have found a tutoring match for you, they will share your contact details with each other to start arranging tutoring time and location. It is the student’s responsibility to arrange payment and record work covered.

Tax Help Volunteer

Are you an accounting or finance student looking to get real world experience? Help people in your community while building your resume by signing up as a Tax Help Volunteer.
