Dieback treatment field day
9:00 am – 9:00 am Dieback treatment field day Sylvania Park Reserve, Roleystone WA, Australia Roleybushcare is an environmental group that is focused on maintaining and protecting the Jarrah bushland around the Roleystone and Karragullen areas. GIVE volunteers will be helping stem injecting trees susceptible to jarrah dieback in Sylvania Park.
New to dieback treatment? Then come along and learn. All training and support will be provided.
When: Sunday 10th November, 9am – 12pm
Where: Sylvania Park Reserve, Roleystone
Volunteer Hours: 3 hours can be logged towards transcript recognition for this event. Please note that transport time can not be logged.
Volunteer Requirements: A willingness to help out.
Clothing/Equipment: Please wear sturdy, enclosed foot ware and sun protective clothing. Gloves will be provided.
Transport: Transport will be available from campus (and return) on The Guild Bus.

We’re wrapping up 2024 with another painting session following the success of our last Paint and Sip event! 🎨 Start fresh with a new canvas or bring your unfinished masterpiece to complete. Plus, enjoy free dinner and drinks while you paint! 🍽️🍹
Later that evening, we’ll be hosting our Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 7:00 PM. If you’re interested in joining MUWA’s committee for 2025 and helping us plan exciting wildlife-themed events for students, we’d love for you to attend either in person or online.

Crafting for Kids With Cancer
10:00 am – 10:00 am Crafting for Kids With Cancer Murdoch Student Guild, South Street, Murdoch WA, Australia Children going through treatment from cancer have serious limitations on the type of learn and play they can do. GIVE volunteers will be helping cut out fabric and felt shapes and animals to become part of cloth activity books which will then be donated to help keep these children engaged and learning whilst going through their treatment.
Volunteer Requirements: A willingness to help out. As these books will be going to children who have compromised immune systems it is important that if you are feeling unwell in anyway that you do not attend the event.
Clothing/Equipment: No special clothing, all equipment will be provided
Volunteer Hours: Two hours can be logged towards transcript recognition for this event.

Thanks to our continued partnership with WA Wildlife, we invite our MUWA members and wildlife enthusiasts to join us on a special night tour hosted by WA Wildlife educators. This tour is exclusively available to MUWA members. It will last approximately two hours, featuring bushwalking and a tour of the hospital, where you’ll also meet some of WA Wildlife’s nocturnal residents.
We’d love to see many of you at our final event as we wrap up the university year for 2024! We can also go out for dinner and drinks afterward. Hope to see you there! xo
