Murdoch African Society is a social society that aims to provide an inclusive and welcoming space for all
people of all backgrounds. The main focus of our society is to provide a space where African culture is

Antirealists Murdoch exists to provide an alternative to consensus reality for Murdoch students, and to build a community of antirealists based in Boorloo (Perth). Antirealists Murdoch is an explicitly anarchist, occultist, neurodiverse, and queer club in terms of aims and inclusivity. We believe that opposition to consensus reality is the best path to liberation for neurodivergent, religious minority, and queer people, and seek to spread and practice antirealism. We aim to provide members struggling with identity, dysphoria, and spiritual problems with solutions that do not depend on consensus reality. And we aim to increase general community awareness of antirealism.
The Murdoch Badminton Club is a student and alumni-run social badminton club based on campus. The club runs weekly badminton sessions for both students and non-students. Players of all levels are welcome to join in regular and fun games of the world's fastest racket sport! We usually play every Saturday 11am - 1:30pm & Wednesday 7pm - 10pm There is a maximum capacity of 28 players each session. Costs, in general, are as follows: $5 members & $8 non-members (please make payment at the start of the sessions) Membership is $25/semester
MU Basketball club is focused on students coming together with the same interest in basketball. We have social sessions, as well as the opportunity to represent the university at a national level. Our hope for this club that people are able to make new friends while forming a basketball community within the university.

The Murdoch IT Association exists to provide a commonplace for all IT students at Murdoch University. The club aims to unite Information Technology students together through means of social activities, such as karaoke nights and video game competitions. The association also aims to provide professional growth and networking abilities by bringing in ICT industry professionals for speaking panels and networking events.
Murdoch University Kendo Club (MUKC) was founded by Chris Graham-sensei in March 1997. The club is actively involved in state and national competitions, such as the Australian Kendo Championships and Australian University Games. We are affiliated with West Australian Kendo Renmei and Australian Kendo Renmei, as well as Murdoch University Sports and the Guild. Murdoch Medieval Society is a society of people interested in the history of Europe and the world through the Ancient, Viking and Middle Ages. We focus a lot on combat and craftsmanship of different cultural groups (Nordic, Rus, Frankish, Saxon, Middle Eastern, native American, Asian and East Asian cultures). We have group and individual projects for those who like craftsmanship, art or even cooking, as well as we use well balanced protective gear and a variety of blunt polymer and wooden weapons in sparring sessions where we together learn techniques of different weapon based historical martial arts of the world. MUD is a non-profit club catering to students, staff and associates of Murdoch University. Membership and gear loan is set at highly competitive rates.
The club has been in existence since 1979, and during that period the club has enjoyed numerous trips away, local diving, involvement in community events such as "Clean UP Australia" and many social events.
In 2002, the club became affiliated with the Underwater Explorer's Club of Western Australia (UEC). The UEC conducts boat dives most weekends, giving MUD members the opportunity to join in individually or as a group. Either way, the UEC will take care of you and make sure you enjoy your day out.

The Murdoch University Wildlife Association is dedicated to providing events and activities that provide opportunities for Murdoch University students to gain experience, skills, knowledge, and enthusiasm for wildlife medicine, health, conservation, rehabilitation, and research. We aim to provide experiences that complement and go beyond the standard academic curriculum, from wildlife handling and first aid
workshops to exposure to current research and careers incorporating conservation and wildlife health. We also strive to create an active community of Murdoch University students who share a similar passion for wildlife. This community will allow students to meet new people, make new friends, and network with other future professionals of the wildlife industry. MUWA was founded over 30 years ago and has organized, funded, and run many successful workshops, seminars, and trips such as beach clean up days, trips to Penguin Island, wildlife necropsies and many more. Over the years we have maintained a considerable member number and consistently seen active engagement in club activities, this indicates the student interest in our club. Though as a special interest club within the Veterinary and Life Sciences school, our members have consisted predominantly of Murdoch students enrolled in the Veterinary Medicine degree. This year we hope to expand our reach and encourage students from all disciplines to participate in our club.
Founded in 2018, Murdoch University Volleyball Club has been striving to produce the best performance
from each team member. From coaching them on the ins and outs of the sport to honing their athletic

The Murdoch Writers Society (MWS) is a student run society that provides support for aspiring writers and creatives here at Murdoch.
Every teaching week we host workshops for students to share their work and receive feedback, as well as discuss various topics related to writing. We are a group of inter-denominational christians who are overseas studying, but of course we welcome locals to join us too 🙂 Overseas Christian Fellowship (OCF) is a student-led, student-run parachurch organisation that spans the different states and universities of Australia, apart from the NT. OCF Murdoch is just one of the many centres. We meet up weekly for worship, bible study and prayer. The Singapore Link (TSL) is a Singapore Student Association at Murdoch University in Perth, Australia - providing friendship and mutual support— making university life at Murdoch easier. TLGxMurdoch seeks to engage with and address the education gap across Australia. The World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association (WAVMA) Murdoch University Student Chapter is a student organised special interest group which operates under the World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association. We strive to provide opportunities for students to learn and become immersed in the world of aquatic veterinary medicine, as well as providing students with exposure to wider topics of marine conservation and biodiversity.
WAVMA Murdoch University student chapter aims to develop and foster students’ interest in the rapidly expanding area of aquatic veterinary medicine. WAVMA aims to enhance student proficiency in various aspects regarding aquatic animals and their related industries. These aspects include, aquatic species anatomy, disease and breeding programs, involving the aquaculture, aquarium and pet industries.
We offer opportunities for students to connect with local enthusiasts, exhibitors, veterinarians and breeders who specialise in various aquatic species, believing their knowledge and experience to be beneficial and inspiring to WAVMA members.

The Women in STEM Society is an emerging society that aims to encourage connection and networking among females studying a STEM discipline at Murdoch University.
WIS has a strong emphasis on networking and togetherness between members, and activities include casual meetups and hangouts, discussions, casual and professional networking opportunities, job advertisements and a whole lot of encouragement and support!
We believe societies like this and the many similar women-focussed, diverse associations out there are a big step in the right direction to increasing the popularity of a career in STEM for young females, while at the same time being an advocacy for connection, collaboration and togetherness.
