Evan Battalis is an experienced management professional. General Manager of The Murdoch University Guild of Students. Married to Helen, three kids….and a dog. Loves coffee, the beach, going down South, Rottnest and Broome!

Shazhi Yaghi, our Student Assist Manager, is an experienced and dedicated leader in Student Service and Experience in the tertiary education sector. His spare time consists of spending it with his wife and 3 daughters, going on road trips, stargazing and eating (particularly sweets).

Freya Laskowski is one of our Student Assist Officers who is passionate about helping students throughout their academic journey at Murdoch. In summer she enjoys spending time at the beach with friends and in winter starting new cross-stitch projects while binging a good Netflix series.

Jina is one of our Student Assistants at Murdoch Guild. Chinese is her first language, and she’s super passionate about helping international students make the most of their Murdoch experience. When she’s not supporting students, you’ll probably find her diving under the ocean ,camping under the stars. or hanging out with her furry family, a playful German Shepherd named Appolo and a cheeky cat named Corona.

Yen Nguyen is a Project Manager, responsible for overseeing projects from planning to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Sarah Tjing is the go-to ‘clubs’ person. She spends her spare time listening to podcasts and reading books on self-help, personal growth and health, because ‘if you do not make time for your wellness, you will be forced to make time for your illness’!

Huyen Pham looks after marketing and loves creating fun, engaging content. She’s always up for supporting any creative idea and bringing it to life in a way that connects with people.
