Evan Battalis is an experienced management professional. General Manager of The Murdoch University Guild of Students. Married to Helen, three kids….and a dog. Loves coffee, the beach, going down South, Rottnest and Broome!

Shazhi Yaghi, our Student Assist Manager, is an experienced and dedicated leader in Student Service and Experience in the tertiary education sector. His spare time consists of spending it with his wife and 3 daughters, going on road trips, stargazing and eating (particularly sweets).
Malena Symmons is our Student Assist Officer who enjoys coffee, dancing, and road trips.
Freya Laskowski is one of our Student Assist Officers who is passionate about helping students throughout their academic journey at Murdoch. In summer she enjoys spending time at the beach with friends and in winter starting new cross-stich projects while binging a good Netflix series.

Mhairi (pronounced Vari) Flay is responsible for marketing, events and some exciting projects that lay ahead for students. When she’s not at work you will find Mhairi either playing soccer, at a café, hiking, at a comedy show or deciding which chocolate or cheese she should consume!
Belicia Tjendera looks after marketing and student communications and is passionate about creating fun, intentional and aesthetic content. On weekends you’ll spot her perusing through op shops, catching up on the latest Netflix/anime series, or walking through display homes.
Sarah Tjing is the go-to ‘clubs’ person. She spends her spare time listening to podcasts and reading books on self-help, personal growth and health, because ‘if you do not make time for your wellness, you will be forced to make time for your illness’!

Simon Turner is our Guild Tavern Manager who’s been with us for 18 years and loves to tell dad jokes. Would love to see a lot more students on campus and have a lot of events.

Adrian Chua, a loving father of four kids and a gaming aficionado with a great sense of humour manages Café Kadjininy and V-Cart at our South Street Campus.
