Walk to End MND event support
9:00 am – 9:00 am Walk to End MND event support Burswood Park, Burswood WA, Australia Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is diagnosed in people of all ages, men and
women. Currently there is no cure, however symptoms can be managed to help
the person achieve the best possible quality of life.
The Motor Neurone Disease Association of WA is the specialist organisation in
Western Australia for people living with MND, their carers and families.
Walk to Defeat MND 2024 will be held on May 5th at Burswod Park. The walk is a major fundraiser for MNDWA but large events like this don’t happening without many hands. GIVE volunteers will be helping out with marshaling, water stations, merchandise stalls, whatever is needed on the day between 9am and 1.30pm.
Volunteer Hours: 4.5 hours volunteer time can be logged towards transcript recognition for this event. Please note that transportation time cannot be logged.
Volunteer Requirements: A willingness to help out.
Clothing/Equipment: Sturdy enclosed footwear and sun protection (hat).
Transportation: Transport to and from Murdoch Campus on The Student Guild Bus will be provided.

9:00 am – 9:00 am Dog's Refuge Clean Up Dogs Refuge Home, Lemnos Street, Shenton Park WA, Australia Every year The Dog’s Refuge Home takes in many hundreds of dogs: those that have been badly abused and neglected; those that have been loved but can no longer be cared for; and those that are simply unwanted.
Join the GIVE program volunteer team on May 22nd from 9am to 12pm as we help out with much needed gardening and grounds maintenance at The Dog’s Refuge.
Volunteer Hours: 3 hours volunteer time can be logged towards transcript recognition for this event. Please note that transportation time cannot be logged.
Volunteer Requirements: A willingness to help out.
Clothing/Equipment: Sturdy enclosed footwear and sun protection (hat).
Transportation: Transport to and from Murdoch Campus on The Student Guild Bus will be provided.
