Join the dynamic Student Success team located within our Student Journey Services at Murdoch University and play a vital role in providing front-line support to students, providing them with information about their course, supporting them with their wellbeing, and explaining how to get the most out of their university experience. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving the student transition, progression and success across the student lifecycle for both domestic and international students.

As a Student Success Advisor at Murdoch University, you will provide frontline support to current students including the provision of information about their course, assisting students with navigating various university administrative processes, explaining how to get the most out of their university experience and referring students to other support services as required.

What you’ll bring to this role

  • A degree with subsequent work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computing skills and experience using word processing, spreadsheets and database/CRM software.
  • Experience in managing and providing excellent customer service.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.

Peer Tutors Needed

  • Casual
  • Volunteer for transcript recognition or charge $25/hour

Student Assist are looking for more peer tutors to join their network! Murdoch Guild created Peer Tutoring so that students can receive tutoring from others who have previously done the same unit or are in the same course of study.

Students who have received a Distinction or High Distinction in units in their study are able to register as peer tutors.

Once you have signed up to be a peer tutor a Student Assist Officer will be in touch. If they have found a tutoring match for you, they will share your contact details with each other to start arranging tutoring time and location. It is the student’s responsibility to arrange payment and record work covered.

Tax Help Volunteer

Are you an accounting or finance student looking to get real world experience? Help people in your community while building your resume by signing up as a Tax Help Volunteer. Tax Help Volunteers will receive training from the ATO between March and June to start assisting community members with their tax returns from July to 31st October.
