Changemakers by Murdoch Guild Volunteering

As a Changemaker, you will deliver volunteering events and initiatives by working alongside community partners and leading your own group of volunteers. You will develop skills in leadership, volunteer coordination, communication and event management while making real change in the community.

As a Changemaker, your typical day could involve:

  • Managing a team of student volunteers which may include recruiting volunteers, managing and supporting volunteers, setting expectations, assigning actions and following up
  • Participating in Murdoch Guild Volunteering promotional activities such as Market Daze
  • Taking part in regular one-on-one meetings with the Volunteering Coordinator
  • Maintaining a respectful and positive culture within Murdoch University Guild of Students and Murdoch University
  • Establishing and developing meaningful relationships with community organisations
  • Communicating Murdoch Guild Volunteering’s vision and expanding our brand presence
  • Contributing to the successful completion of Murdoch Guild Volunteering programs


We are looking for students who:

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and capacity for relationship building
  • Are excited to work in a team of like-minded individuals
  • Value lasting relationships within Murdoch Guild Volunteering and with our community organisations
  • Want to contribute to a positive volunteer culture
  • Are passionate about community development and willing to learn new things
