METIOR

Reborn online in 2015, the Murdoch Empire Telegraph and Indian Ocean Review, or METIOR for short, is Murdoch students’ very own, collectively produced and published online journal. Though financially supported by the Guild, METIOR has a proud history of editorial independence and has set the student agenda for decades at Murdoch University. Now unshackled from the printing press, metior.com.au publishes around the clock, rain or shine, and feature the latest news from Murdoch University plus showcases the incredible creative talents of Murdoch students.

We still love that feel of print though and METIOR will be endeavoring to produce once a semester print editions, showcasing the best of that semester’s contributions to the online journal in a sophisticated magazine format to wow your Grandparents.

METIOR is always looking for new contributors, whether you want to share your poetry, outline your politics, pad your journalism CV or review your favourite media, there is always a place for you at METIOR.

The Guild would like you to produce a mini edition of METIOR in time for O Week, this gives us a chance to see if you are right for the role of Editor for 2018. Readers will also look at METIOR as a publication worth reading, meaning they will pick it up throughout the year, gaining readership and contributors is our main goal for METIOR and if we have a good foundation for this then we are more likely to succeed in this goal.

Payment for the Mini METIOR Edition will be $1,000 and will determine you continuing your role as Editor for 2018.

If you would like to speak to someone about the position please call Lindsay on 9360 6562.

Good Luck!
