2019 Guild Diary

The National Campus Music competition is an annual competition and open to students across Australia. Murdoch University was represented in 2019 by Muka Vhatti, who won the competition!

In recognition of the Competition’s 30th birthday, the 2020 competition format will be less about competing and more about celebrating. As such, we aim to move away from a major prize for one artist per category, and offer a wide range of opportunities throughout the year to recognise the talent that we are seeing across our campuses.

Submissions close 31st October, 2020

The 2020 theme is ‘Through My Eyes’.  It is purposely open to interpretation to encourage students to use their creativity in sharing a piece of their personal story. Upon submitting, ensure that you include the story/caption to give any required context to the visual story.

One major prize will be awarded per category;

  • judges will select the prize recipient for the categories of Photography, Portfolio and Videography
  • public votes will determine the winner of the ‘People’s Choice winner for each of the three categories

One minor prize will be awarded per month to a user of the hashtags #ThroughMyEyes and #CampusPV2020 on Instagram.

Submissions close 1st October, 2020.

THE WINNER OF THIS COMPETITION IN 2019 WAS A MURDOCH STUDENT!

The theme is “Let Your Word Fly” with a focus on the student experience.

The theme is purposely open to interpretation, to allow students to really explore their creativity and make sure their submissions share a piece of their story.

One major prize will be awarded per category;

  • judges will select the prize recipient for the categories of Fiction and Non-Fiction
  • public votes will determine the winner of the ‘People’s Choice winner for each of the two categories

Submissions close 1st October, 2020.
