Murdoch Environmental Restoration Group (MERG)

About us

The Murdoch Environmental Restoration Group (MERG) is a group made up of Murdoch staff and students as well as members of the wider community who are dedicated to the preservation, restoration, maintenance, and monitoring of the bushland and parts of the Beeliar Regional Park in and around Murdoch University.

We carry out activities such as weeding, native tree planting, and monitoring of cockatoo nest-tubes and bat boxes.

We do these activities in the hope that we can help to ensure the bushland retains its ecosystem functions.

If you love nature, want to give back to the environment and the community, or just want to get out and get your hands dirty, then this is the group for you.
