About us

Murdoch Environmental Restoration Group (MERG) is passionate about improving and protecting Murdoch’s Perth campus biodiversity, to provide habitat for endangered Carnaby’s and Forest Red tailed Black Cockatoos and Southern Brown Bandicoots (AKA Quendas). We restore bushland on campus to keep the environment healthy, using science to guide our hands-on action .

Upcoming events

through the year, activities are varied and accessible for all students regardless of degree or area of study. Recurring events include the Great Cocky Count (April) tree planting days (July- August) native vegetation surveys (year round) grant writing and administration , project management, leadership and sustainability (year round). and interest.
